  100mostXcellent30 is compilation of all the best songs from The Pocket Gods' series of 100X30 albums - that is 9 albums each with 100 songs on, with all songs being around 30 seconds in length! Album topics have been on the music industry, Shakespeare, The X Files, The World Cup & even Brexit!

The reason behind the 30 second song is that Spotify pay out a miniscule royalty of 0.005p per stream to an artist after a track is played for 30 seconds - and then no more.

So The Pocket Gods thought why record songs longer than 30 seconds if you're only going to be paid a pittance anyway?

The band have decided to relase this complation to raise further awareness about the lack of royalties paid to artists from Spotify - esepcially as they have recently spent millions of dollars in securing Joe Rogan's podcast, but who are also playing artists even less than before they became a listed company!
